Is your online gun store updated in real-time?

Yes — our online inventory updates in real time. If a product is listed and doesn’t say “Available In Store,” it’s in stock with one of our wholesalers and usually ships the next business day. Most online orders arrive at our Amherst, Ohio shop within a week — no extra fees. If it says “Available In Store,” it’s physically on our shelves and ready whenever we’re open.

Do you have a retail location?

Do you sell used firearms or take guns on consignment?

Yes, we do both. We typically have a rotating selection of used firearms and consignment guns. If you’re looking to sell, we’re happy to help you consign your firearm — reach out or stop by for details.

Do you handle NFA transfers?

Yes — Amherst Armory is a Class III NFA dealer. We handle machine gun sales, suppressor transfers, SBRs, and other regulated items. Whether it’s your first NFA item or part of your growing collection, we’ll walk you through it.

Do you carry suppressors (silencers)?

Yes, both online and in-store. We carry a range of suppressors and silencers to help make shooting safer and more enjoyable. From budget options to premium brands, we’re happy to help you pick one out.

Do you offer gunsmithing?

What kind of gun should I buy?

It depends on your needs — but we’re here to help. Looking for home defense, concealed carry, target shooting, or a first gun? We’ll make sure you find something reliable and appropriate for your skill level and purpose. Modern firearms offer incredible reliability and features — especially compared to “what everyone used to buy.” Come in or call us — we love helping people find the perfect firearm.

First-time buyer? We highly recommend taking a CCW course or basic handgun training. Learning how to safely and confidently use your firearm is just as important as owning it.

Do you provide training or classes?

We don’t offer classes at our shop, but we work with excellent local firearm instructors and can connect you with the right one for CCW, beginner training, or tactical shooting.

What’s your favorite gun?

Personally? A suppressed .22LR. It’s quiet, low-recoil, and easy for nearly anyone to enjoy — a perfect introduction to shooting and a ton of fun at the range.

Do you sell AR-15 lowers and build parts?

Yes! We stock a variety of AR-15 lower receivers, uppers, parts kits, and accessories. Whether you’re doing a full custom build or just upgrading, we’ve got you covered in-store and online.
